ABOUT THE NETWORK
GeMus was formed in 2016, following the international Gender and Music: Practices, Performances, Politics conference, on music and gender, in Örebro, Sweden. The network aims to be a space where activists, musicians, researchers and people interested in gender and music, from across the world, can share and access resources and event information.
The purpose of the network is to facilitate collaborations between research and activism, across music genres and music-related activities, to challenge intersectional forms of gender discrimination and contribute to the study of gender equality in music.
The network is free to join. To become a member, share information about events, new stories or contribute to the blog, please get in contact via the 'Contact' tab at the menu above.
